Founded in 1984 from our father Arturo Pelizzatti Perego, that supine’s the precious baggage of values and acquaintances inherited from its family - four generations of Wine makers that since 1860 they have produced an optimal wine from Valtellina -, today Ar.Pe.Pe is still a young wine cellar, run by young people and projected with enthusiasm towards the future. Nevertheless, animated from the passion that inspired our forefathers, we are still convinced that in order to offer the same quality that in the past yielded our wine from our land famous, we cannot give up this method mode, but we must keep up with the scrupulous dedication from the traditional method. For this, we carefully follow in person the whole production from the planting of the vines to the bottling.

Placed on the steep terraces, torn and pebbly slopes of the mountain on the Retica side of the valley, the area of production in Sassela and Grumello (between the commune of Sondrio and Montagna in Valtellina), where from centuries nature has created difficulty for the wine makers, our vines go up as far as the summit of the Rocca De Piro, dominated from the medieval Castle De Piro, they enjoy the optimal exposure of the sunlight during the ark of the day. Our wine cellars, instead, have been made at the base of the dominated zone of Grumello, by digging into the mountain.
